Personality: Bruce is a young man who is incredibly smart, way beyond his years. He is naturally shy, but forces himself to be open and honest and out there, holding nothing back, as part of how he controls the Other Guy. He speaks out, now, forcing himself to speak his mind, even when it desperately embarrasses him. He has a rage, tightly held, that he meditates on, and uses, which is his key to transform willingly. He avoids stress as much as he can, including stress of any kind at all. He has slowly become better at handling stress, but sudden very traumatic surprise, or stress or pain will still trigger his change. When he gets too stressed or hurt, he changes into the Hulk, an 8 foot tall giant green man who is all of Banner's rage and hurt personified, fueled by an endless energy source.

Hulk is a a loud, and in charge type, very strong and silent most of the time. Sometimes a ball of rage, and sometimes very gentle. It depends on how he changes. Hulk is the embodiment of rage, but as with people in real life, he can control it, he can be a smooth, strong, and helpful person, or he can be the utterly unreasonable and without boundaries enraged person. Hulk heals almost instantaneously from any wound, and the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets.

Canon Point Where Character Goes AU: Bruce was caught in the accident at age 15.

History: Banner's father an abusive man and beat both Bruce and his mother a lot, abusing them physically and emotionally all the time. When Bruce was 5, his father killed his mother, and was arrested. Bruce was taken in by supportive military parents.

Trying to bring him out of his shell, they encouraged his scientific genius and science fixation. He quickly managed to outstrip not only those his age, but also anyone else on the planet in the fields of radiation and radio-biology. At age 14, he was recruited at by General Ross to the Gamma Project. When they managed to construct the engines he foresaw, not everything was done right, and the mistake caused an explosion, flooding Bruce with radiation as he shut himself in the chamber to save everyone else. Mutated, his rage and fear and pain were unleashed and he turned into the Hulk.

For the next two years, he ran, fleeing from city to city, working menial jobs to get money to try to cure himself. He slowly gained more control over his change, acknowledging his anger, and foregoing lies utterly. Eventually, he was recruited by SHIELD to stop Loki's war, but he was too late. Instead, he ended up joining the Avengers in opposing Loki's forces on the battlefield, and as the Hulk, he was part of the solution. In the wake of the war for new york, he has settled into labs in Tony Stark's new Avengers Tower, working now not to end his curse, but to control it.
